Jan Schwartz has an extensive background in both art and music.  In college she studied art history and did studio work in ceramics.  More recently, following her teaching career with the Duxbury school system, she has been studying watercolor painting with Katherine Smit and Ann Lindsay and is now working primarily in that medium.
