Helen Bumpus Gallery’s Board of Directors recently honored South Shore artist Tony Andrade with the 2024 Conant Award in special recognition of the exemplary artwork he exhibited in the Gallery last summer. "Real and Imagined--Paintings by Tony Andrade” featured two distinct bodies of work: realistic landscapes and whimsically abstract, imagined gardens.
The annual award – which includes a personalized plaque and honorarium – was established by a donation from Esther Conant in honor of her friend and gallery namesake, Helen Bumpus.
